Since Hong Kong is the Inernational Financial Centre, many time-honored brands disappeared very fast. To protect some of the very few time-honored brands in Hong Kong, we need to take the concern about these items. Here are the recommended places with Hong Kong's traditional culture. 

Place 1: Lee Kung Man

 

Lee Kung Man was established in 1923 by Mr. Fung Sau Yu. The durable and winter-protective clothes of Lee Kung Man are popular among Hong Kong people. Lee Kung Man has also produced a lots of famous and interesting TV broadcasting advertisements. Two famous starts Bruce Lee and Stephen Chow were advertising endorsers of Lee Kung Man. They were also involved in the filming of the broadcasting commercials.

Place 2: Lan Fong Yuen (Dai Pai Dong)

Lan Fong Yuen, which is located in Central, is a Dai pai dong with long history in Hong Kong. To enjoy local Hong Kong food, Chinese restaurant is not the only option for Hong Kong citizens and tourists. Dai Pai Dong has been very popular in Hong Kong since 1950s. As Sheung Wan and Wan Chai were the birthplace of Dai Pai Dong in the early, Lan Fong Yuen, the one of the Dai Pai Dong in Sheung Wan, contains the original culture of Dai Pai Dong. It is a type of open-air food restaurant, which contains a unique local culture of Hong Kong.

Place 3: Analog Photography Studio

Analog photography Studio was established in 1950s.

It is a traditional photographic studio in Hong Kong which is located in Aberdeen.

It uses traditional photography technology to take photo for the customers.

The film camera store, decor, a wall of a chair, has not changed, time seems to stop at the opening looks like 50 years ago.

Place 4: China Cafe

China Café , a Ice Room, is located in Mong Kok.China Café still keeps the double-deck building style. This Café has been opened for about 40 to 50 years.It is enjoyable to have the food and drinks on the second floor. Its specials are French toast and Red Bean Ice.

China Café is commonly believed that it has the longest history compared with those remaining Ice Rooms in Hong Kong. As Ice Rooms, which were considered as the forerunners of Cha Chaan Teng, are the memories of the elderly in Hong Kong, old Hong Kong people might remember eating in Ice Rooms every day when they were about our age. Tourists from other countries might feeling the culture of old  Hong Kong  Ice  Rooms.

 

Ice Rooms are the history of Hong Kong food culture. They first emerged in the 1900s, providing westernized food and drinks to Hong Kongers at a reasonable price. There are unique structures in Ice Rooms ,which can’t be found in modern restaurants anymore.
