3D printing is a type of Rapid prototyping (RP). It is base on a model of digital file to produce a 3D model. Using the plastic or powder metallurgy to structure a object. As the 3D printers become popular nowadays ,even some citizens can afford a 3D printer , which the cheaper one cost under HK$4000.

Why we use 3D printing?

Through the 3D models, visitors can memorialize about Hong Kong time-honored brand. Also, the 3D models printed out can be a souvenir for them. It can special souvenir for them, unlike just buying something from the souvenir shops.

How to use 3D printing?

We can create some 3D models of time-honored brand, such as the model of the buildings, Hong Kong local foods and some old furnitures. People can download the models from the websites which promote in Facebook and Youtube. Also, we can set some QR barcode in those time-honored brand for the visiters to download. More people would like to visit to those shops and concern about them.

After downloading the 3D models, people can print out the objects by 3D printer. Although some people may not have a 3D printer, they still can find some shops to print it out or review these time-honored brand by the 3D models.
